COVID

** Updated 4/28/21

MYR’s #1 priority is the health and safety of all those involved with MYR (players, coaches, officials, administrators, families) and the local communities MYR is part of.

To that end, MYR will follow the latest COVID-related public health order as provided by the local health department in Jefferson County, Colorado (link here, revised 4/13/21).

The following applies to MYR events, all of which will be 100 percent outdoors.

The protocol detailed below considers the guidance for sports groups provided by the State of Colorado and the governing bodies for the sport of rugby at the State, National, and International levels.

1. Health Questionnaire

A health questionnaire will be available to participants 12 hours before each event (practice or game) via TeamSnap. Individuals will not be allowed to participate in the event with a failed questionnaire.

2. Temperature Check

Upon arrival at the event, participants will have their temperature checked via a contactless thermometer, with a reading below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit required to participate.

3. Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer will be made available during events.

4. Social Distancing

Whenever possible, social distancing will be followed. With rugby being a contact sport, there will be times when social distancing isn't possible during events. e.g., During games and certain portions of practice when contact is involved.

5. Cohorts

Groups will be as small as possible and stay consistent during the event.

6. Shared Equipment

Sharing of equipment will be limited to rugby balls/cones and kept within cohorts. Items such as pennies will be limited in use and washed after each event.

7. Quarantine

If a participant is required to quarantine, they must follow the quarantine guidance from the State of Colorado (link here). e.g., If a participant is part of a school cohort that's been quarantined, the quarantine length is 10 days without a test and 7 days with a negative test after 5 days from exposure.

In addition, the governing bodies for Rugby at the state/national/world level have published return-to-play guidelines to provide best practices specifically focused on Rugby - Rugby Colorado, USA Rugby, World Rugby.
